Rainwater Goods

Our rainwater product range consists of:

Concealed Valley & Box Gutters
Glassfibre Valley Gutters

The use of Glassfibre valley gutters on double pitched roofs and concealed Glassfibre box gutters behind the parapet of a building has proved to be the most cost effective and problem free method of disposing of rainwater. Valley gutters are custom made to suit each projects requirement.

Our personnel are always available to assist with the design, sizing and support requirements for your project. We have standard straight and conical outlets to fit all standard pipe sizes. We can also undertake the bracket supply and installation, and the downpipe supply and installation.

The advantages of fibreglass gutters over other materials are:
  1. Glassfibre gutters are durable and never corrode.
  2. GRP – resists acid rain, salt water, UV rays, hail, high winds and scrap thieves.
  3. Custom ability. Can be moulded to any size shape colour and texture.
  4. Light weight – Less weight to erect and less weight for the structure to support. Can be transported easily in container form to other countries for installation there.
  5. Seamless- The gutters/ stop ends and outlets are all laminated together on site to form a one piece watertight installation.
  6. Maintenance free.
  7. Can be used with pluvia drainage systems.

We have completed more gutter projects in Glassfibre than any other company in South Africa.

Exposed Glassfibre Eaves Gutters

The use of Glassfibre eaves gutters on factories, warehouses and office buildings enables the architect to use the eaves of the building to create an interesting architectural feature , while also disposing of rainwater from the roof area . Numerous curved and shaped gutter profiles are available. On large projects the costs of manufacturing a purpose made gutter for the specific project are minimal.

Our personnel are always available to assist with the design, sizing and support requirements for your project.
We have standard straight and conical outlets to fit all standard pipe sizes. We also have numerous drop box and rainwater head moulds available for use on your project.

We also undertake the steel bracket supply and installation, and the downpipe supply and installation if required.

The advantages of fibreglass eaves gutters over other materials are:

  1. Glassfibre gutters are durable and do not corrode at all. Research shows almost no loss of laminate properties after 30 years.
  2. GRP – resists acid rain, salt water, UV rays, hail, high winds and scrap thieves.
  3. Custom ability. Eaves gutters can be moulded to any size shape colour and texture.
  4. Light weight – Less weight to erect and less weight for the structure to support. Can be transported easily in container form to other countries for installation there.

Insitu-Gutter Linings

A glass fibre gutter lining overcomes the problems of conventional gutter systems. Its greatest advantage is that it is seamless and will accommodate movement differential over long lengths. It can also be applied without interruption to the activities within the building, which makes it perfect for occupied factories, offices and shopping centres.

The existing gutters can be aluminium, steel, timber, asbestos, fibre cement or concrete. Even if the original gutter has deteriorated/ rusted, the lining can be designed to have its own structural integrity. The result is always the same –water tightness.

The unique moulding properties of glass fibre ensure that protrusions, difficult outlets and undulations are easily lined.
We offer a ten year maintenance free guarantee on all our gutter linings. If carried out correctly a gutter lining should last in excess of 30 years. There is no other waterproofing material that can compete with Glassfibre in this application.

With our experienced foreman and site staff you couldn't select a better product.

We have applied linings to the following projects:

  1. Toyota Prospecton – Body shop, paint plant, assembly hall and trim shop.
  2. ABI - Phoenix – Production hall & loading canopy.
  3. PX warehouse – Pinetown.
  4. PX warehouse – Maydon Wharf

Prefabricated Glassfibre Gutter Inserts/ Liners

In cases where there is sufficient access to the gutters and where the gutter size is consistent, a good option is to pre fabricate a gutter slightly smaller in dimension than the existing gutter and insert it inside the existing gutter.

The individual lengths are then laminated together and the outlets and stop ends are installed.

These projects can be completed quickly and quality can be controlled very closely as the inserts are manufactured in our factory.

One of the major advantages is that one is less weather dependant than doing a traditional in-situ lining. This option is also usually more cost effective than an in-situ gutter lining.

On completing a roof inspection our staff will be able to advise you on the best option to suit the particular project.

Glassfibre Waterproofing

Glassfibre waterproofing is the best waterproofing system available.

Although Glassfibre is often more expensive than other systems it is superior and will outlast all other systems.

Fibreglass has the advantage of being able to be moulded into any shape and therefore is especially useful when there are penetrations through the area being waterproofed.

It is moulded into a seamless in-penetrable layer which is immune to joint failure and root attack from plants. Another advantage is that fibreglass can be easily repaired or re- coated if damaged by other trades.

The unique moulding properties of glass fibre ensure that protrusions, difficult outlets and undulations are easily waterproofed.

We offer a ten year maintenance free guarantee on all our waterproofing. If carried out correctly Glassfibre waterproofing should last in excess of 30 years.

There is no other waterproofing material that can compete with Glassfibre from a longevity point of view.

With our experienced foreman and site staff you couldn't select a better product.
